How to hire a yoga instructor
A yoga instructor teaches classes or private sessions across styles that differ far more than the name suggests — from slow restorative work to vigorous heated flows.
Can be done online. Many yoga instructors work over video, so you are not limited to who is nearby. On Region Beacon, pick Online when you post a request and it reaches online businesses anywhere. All services

Common questions
Which type of yoga is best for beginners?
Slower styles like hatha, gentle flow or restorative give you time to learn the shapes with instruction. Vinyasa moves quickly and hot classes add heat stress, both of which are harder to learn in. Ask the instructor which of their classes they would put a first-timer in.
Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?
No — that is the outcome, not the entry requirement. What matters more is an instructor who offers modifications so every pose has a version that works for your body today.
Can I ask not to be touched during class?
Yes, always. Many instructors use consent cards or ask at the start. If hands-on adjustment is offered, opting out should be entirely unremarkable, and an instructor who makes it awkward is the wrong instructor.
How does Region Beacon work for yoga instructors?
You describe the job once. The first nearby business that takes it gets your details and contacts you; nobody else does. You deal with whoever you pick directly, and you pay them directly — Region Beacon never handles the money and takes no commission, so nothing is added to your price for using it.
How do I know if a yoga instructor's quote is fair?
Get more than one. A single quote tells you what one business charges; three tell you what the job is worth where you live. Ask each for the same scope in writing, and treat a quote far below the others as probably missing something rather than a bargain.
