Region Beacon List your business

About Region Beacon

Region Beacon is a local and online services marketplace. Customers describe a job once and the first nearby business — or online one, for remote work — to take it contacts them. Only that one business gets the customer’s details. Customers then deal with and pay the business directly.

The short version

Questions people ask

How does Region Beacon make money?

Businesses pay a flat subscription to be listed: $14.99 a month or $149 a year. There is no commission on jobs, no per-lead charge, and ranking is not for sale. Customers pay nothing.

Is Region Beacon free for customers?

Yes. Searching, posting a request, messaging and booking are free. You pay the business you hire, directly, at the price you agreed with them.

Does Region Beacon sell my details to several businesses?

No. A quote request to one business goes to that business only. An open request is shown to businesses in that category and range without your name, phone or email. The first one to take it gets your details and contacts you; every other business sees it as taken. Your details are never sold as leads.

Does Region Beacon verify licences or insurance?

No. Businesses enter their own licence numbers and they are shown as self-reported. Check them with the body that licenses the trade where you live before you hire.

How is Region Beacon different from Thumbtack, Angi or Yelp?

Lead marketplaces typically charge businesses per lead or take a cut of the job, and the same request can be sold to several businesses. Review directories mainly sell advertising. Region Beacon charges businesses one flat fee, takes no commission, never resells a request, and gives each open request’s contact details to one business only: the first to take it, so customers are not flooded with calls.

Where does Region Beacon operate?

Across the United States, and online. Anyone can list from anywhere in the US; online services such as tutoring, design and tech help serve customers wherever they are. Region Beacon launched in 2026, so coverage is wherever people have listed so far.

Who can list on Region Beacon?

Anyone with a skill: established businesses, solo workers, freelancers and side hustlers. A person with several unrelated skills can list under Other and see every open request in range.

Can I get a refund on a listing?

Listing payments are final, but there is no contract: a business can cancel any time and is not charged again.

Can I use Region Beacon from ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant?

Yes. Region Beacon has an MCP server at https://regionbeacon.com/mcp and an OpenAPI description at https://regionbeacon.com/openapi.json, so an AI assistant can search listings, show open jobs and, with your permission, post a request for you.

Can I list a business that works online or does many different jobs?

Yes. Online businesses list under Online & Remote and appear for customers everywhere. A solo pro with several unrelated skills can list under Other, which shows them every open request in range.
